Lloyd Kia Carlisle – Apprentice Aftersales
Permanent, Full Time, Monday to Friday
Lloyd Kia is Europe’s number one dealer. This apprenticeship combines off-the-job training with on-the-job learning, and you will be supported at every step of the way. Our apprentices obtain a nationally recognised qualification upon successful completion of the programme.
The Role
This is a varied role where you will be covering the following areas:
- Welcome customers to the service department and handle enquiries both in person and by phone.
- Book vehicles in for servicing, repairs, MOTs, and maintenance.
- Prepare job cards and liaise with workshop technicians.
- Explain repair work, costs, and timescales to customers in a professional, friendly manner.
- Manage warranty claims in line with Kia’s standards.
- Promote service plans, accessories, and additional work where appropriate.
Parts Advisor Duties
- Identify and supply the correct parts and accessories for workshop jobs and retail customers.
- Assist technicians by ensuring parts are available on time for scheduled work.
- Order, check, and manage stock levels, returns, and invoices.
- Promote Kia genuine parts and accessories to enhance customer experience.
- Maintain an organised parts department and keep records updated in the dealer management system.
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times, maintaining high satisfaction levels.
- Support the aftersales team in achieving department targets.
- Build product knowledge, particularly on Kia’s latest electrified models and upcoming PBV range.
- Attend Kia Academy training blocks and complete all apprenticeship learning requirements.

- GCSE grades level 4 or above in English, Maths and two other subjects (or equivalent qualifications)

The Training
Qualification: Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification and Kia certification.
Length: 3 years
Apprentices receive their off-the-job training at the state-of-the-art Manufacturer\’s Training Centre. This guarantees consistent training across the UK and enables our apprentices to study the most up-to-date products and technology. During the course, the training is conducted in both workshops and classroom settings.
