Payroll Supervisor
Our client, a highly respected organisation based within the South West, is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Supervisor on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a pivotal role, supporting the Payroll Manager and overseeing the day-to-day delivery of accurate and timely payroll services. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a key leadership position within a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Review and sign-off payroll calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Resolve complex payroll queries in a timely, professional manner.
- Ensure all statutory submissions (RTI, pensions, HMRC) are accurate and on time.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and implement changes as needed.
- Liaise with HR and Finance to ensure data integrity across systems.
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and support year-end activities (P60, P11D, audits).
- Support, mentor, and develop payroll team members.
- Contribute to system improvements and process enhancements.
The Candidate
- Proven payroll processing experience, ideally with CIPP qualification (completed or in progress).
- In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, NI, pensions, and statutory payments.
- Proficient with payroll software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong leadership, communication, accuracy, and integrity in managing payroll processes.
