Our client, a diverse, privately-owned organisation serving a broad spectrum of commercial clients, is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team on a part-time, permanent basis. This role offers the part-time hours of 16–20 hours per week.

Operating in a competitive and dynamic industry, the Finance Assistant is responsible for completing financial transactions accurately and promptly. This role supports the delivery of clear, timely financial information essential for efficient, customer-focused service operations.

The responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile supplier invoices and statements.
  • Support the wider Finance Team with supplier payments, bank postings, and supplier queries.
  • Assist the wider Finance Team with transaction processing, customer statement distribution, and query resolution.
  • Raise sales invoices, handle credit notes, and upload invoices to company portals.
  • Manage and distribute team mailboxes to ensure timely query resolution.
  • Perform company account reconciliations.
  • Adhere to company policies, emphasising customer service, health and safety, and equality and diversity.

The candidate:

  • Previous experience in a similar accounts support role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with some experience using accounting software.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills and a focus on building positive relationships.
  • Eager to learn, adaptable, and open to feedback.
  • Proactive in seeking improvements to support company goals.
