Bookkeeper Part-time, 2-3 days per week Exeter, Devon £28,000 – £30,000 per annum pro-rata Our client, a prominent leader in business services, is seeking a proactive and dynamic Bookkeeper to join their growing team on a part-time, permanent basis. As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our clients’ accounts, including accounting integration, income and expenditure reconciliation, and the preparation of accurate reports. Success in this role requires establishing strong client and internal relationships and a commitment to supporting the expansion of our clients financial services offerings. The responsibilities: Manage and reconcile multiple client bank accounts monthly via cloud-based software. Reconcile income and expenditures. Maintain purchase ledger, handle data entry, and resolve supplier queries. Prepare year-end reports (P&L, Trial Balance, Debtor Movement) for clients and accountants. Generate monthly arrears and management accounts. Investigate and resolve banking issues. Perform additional related tasks as needed. The candidate: Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accountancy support role with knowledge of tax, VAT, and year-end processes. Completion of, or progress toward, an AAT Level 4 qualification. Strong proficiency with cloud-based accounting software, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Demonstrated positive, methodical, and solutions-oriented approach.
