The London Borough of Bromley is seeking a motivated and skilled Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join our established Commercial Legal Team. Your Role:
- Work within a specialist legal team focused on commercial, regeneration and procurement matters.
- Provide expert legal advice in relation to contract law and procurement law, draft contracts, draft other relevant documentation in relation to tenders, give legal advice in relation to contract disputes, data protection, Freedom of Information Act requests and other areas of local government law.
- Support the Council's commitment to modernisation, including digital transformation initiatives and the innovative use of AI.
- Represent Legal Services as a Contracts and Procurement Lawyer.
About You:
- We are looking for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or FILEX with a current practicing certificate, who has knowledge and experience of providing commercial, contracts, regeneration and procurement legal advice.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate yourself and colleagues within the Commercial Legal Team.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, inclusivity, and collaborative working.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly and effectively.
