Role overview:

  • A service that offers more than just providing young people with accommodation. It aims to create a safe, inclusive environment and support young people in achieving their potential, transitioning to independent living, and engaging in employment or education.
  • You will act as a key worker to motivate and empower young people towards independence.
  • You will develop support plans and assist young people in reaching their goals, working collaboratively with a team that values diversity.
  • You will enhance your relationship-building and partnership skills by working closely with local agencies such as the local authority, charities, education providers, probation, social services, and housing services.

Requirements:

  • Ability to engage and build strong relationships.
  • A non-judgemental attitude and understanding of issues like homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma.
  • A resilient and forward-thinking mindset to overcome challenges.
  • Remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Experience in support work or housing, with knowledge of housing options, law, and benefits.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car.

*Additional payment of £96.00 for on-call duties. Payments for voluntary or on-call shifts are made at relief rates: Relief pay per hour: £13.45; Sleepover: £172.60.
