Job Description:

Vacancy Overview:

Working as part of the project staff team, engaging with, building trusting and respectful relationships with, and supporting young people who may be difficult to engage. Support must align with support plans and be requested by the key-working Support Worker or Team Leader. Excellent communication within the staff team is essential. Ensuring the safety and high-quality maintenance and cleanliness of the project, recording and reporting all work & incidents according to Llamau’s procedures. The role often requires lone working, so following procedures, initiative, and self-motivation are crucial.

Requirements:

  • The ability to engage and build strong relationships with people
  • A non-judgemental mindset and understanding of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma
  • A resilient, forward-thinking attitude to overcome barriers and setbacks
  • The ability to remain calm and collected in challenging situations
  • Experience in support work or domestic abuse, with knowledge of housing options, housing law, and benefits
  • A full UK driving license, access to a car, and business insurance (desirable)
