Llamau is committed to supporting and promoting equality and diversity across the whole organisation. We aim to establish an inclusive environment where every colleague feels safe and able to be themselves at work. We particularly encourage applications from the following protected characteristics: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race (including colour, nationality, ethnic and national origin), religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation. Appointments will always be made on merit.
At Llamau we believe that no young person or vulnerable woman should ever have to experience homelessness. Our mission is to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women. For thousands of the most vulnerable people in Wales, homelessness is a frightening reality. Thirty years ago Llamau was founded to provide homeless teenagers with a safe place to stay. Since then, we have supported over 67,000 young people, women and their children who are either homeless or facing homelessness. Many think the job of a homelessness charity is to provide accommodation – a safe place to stay. But we recognise that for most people facing homelessness, their problems are far more complex than a lack of permanent shelter. That’s why we treat everyone who needs our support as an individual, recognising their unique strengths and needs, and ensuring they are supported to rebuild their futures.
We are passionate about nurturing talent; our senior leadership team includes colleagues who have progressed through the business from entry level roles.
