The purpose of Bids and Tenders Writer is to secure and steward income for Llamau through grants and contracts linked to set targets, objectives and organisational strategies. This includes the identification and development of opportunities and plans in partnership with colleagues in the Business Development function within the wider Fundraising and Communications team, alongside operational, financial and strategic leads across the charity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, coordination and submission of high‑quality bids, tenders and related reports to support the organisation’s wide range of services and activities across Wales.
- Engage with both statutory (e.g., local authorities/Welsh Government) and voluntary funding bodies (e.g., trusts and foundations) to develop new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure ongoing successful stewardship and retention of existing income and relationships.
- Oversee current grant‑based income and a significant number of contracted services in Wales, covering housing related support, early intervention/prevention, employability programmes, domestic abuse services and bespoke enhanced services/activities.
Success in this role will be measured through the quality, competitiveness and success rate of submissions, alongside the effective stewardship and retention of income.
