Stock Controller/Purchaser

Procurement of all stock and control the movement of stock., · Procurement of new stock (challenging cost efficiencies at all times)

· Control of all site stock (ensuring rotation, location plan and accessibility)

· Liaise with suppliers to ensure orders, lead times, and correct costing are met.

· Work alongside goods in operatives to ensure the department runs safely and efficiently.

· Work in accordance with all site Health & Safety and COSHH requirements (reporting any near misses or concerns)

· Completion of FLT and telehandler safety checks (reporting of any faults)

· Keep all area clean and tidy following a clean as you go system.

· Work in accordance with best manufacturing practice (BMP)

· Continual improvement of systems and practices

· Control of all site stock (ensuring rotation, location plan and accessibility)

· Liaise with all site departments to ensure stock is fully available.

· Reduce and monitor cost of goods bought in

· Control waste (FIFO)

· Attend daily Production/despatch meetings to plan day to day and weekly process needs are met.

· Attend weekly management meetings to discuss the performance of Goods In, Procurement and stock holding/control.

· Carry out physical month end stock takes to ensure accurate stock holding.

· Complete and maintain the site stock spreadsheet to ensure stock is fully accounted for in volume and cost.

· Carry out and maintain goods in check forms for deliveries ensuring that all stock received is fit for purpose and received in good order on hygienic clean transport

· Ensure all deliveries are booked in ensuring the safe movement of larger vehicles within the area between delivery times of 7am and 4pm
