Responsibilities
What will you do as the user experience designer on Oracle’s Payments team?
- You will dive deep into Oracle Payments products to deliver innovative experiences tailored to the payment user needs across a variety of industries.
- You will partner closely with Product Management to understand the customers who use these products, empathise with them, and imagine creative ways to improve their work lives.
- You will collaborate with fellow designers to innovate by designing coherent, seamless, and emotionally resonant user experiences.
- You will work with Engineering to turn your designs into reality.
- You will engage with user research to get customer feedback on your designs and identify areas for improvement.
- You will meet regularly with stakeholders to discuss project status, goals, roadblocks, and areas for improvement.
- You will lead design critiques, stakeholder reviews, and customer demos.
- You will stay informed of changing design technologies/methodologies and help drive process improvements and design strategy.
- You will develop domain expertise to reconcile design best practices with business needs.
- You will actively mentor less experienced designers.
- You will work with stakeholders to define and drive Payment UX strategy, prioritisation, and culture.
- You will collaborate with Industry Design Ops and the Redwood design team to advocate for and contribute to the Redwood Design System and user‑centered design process.
You will learn, grow, and be challenged. Sometimes, you will face tough compromises or find things take longer than expected. You may need to work extra hard to convince a colleague of your position or not get your way. At times, you might feel frustrated with Oracle's evolving design culture, but remember that you’re here to define that culture and continue making Oracle a place you love to work.
