THE FIRM

A long established, thriving and collegial City law firm.

THE ROLE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Insolvency Solicitor to join a highly regarded Litigation & Dispute Resolution team within an established law firm.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-profile contentious insolvency matters, alongside restructuring, non-contentious insolvency and debt recovery work. You will be joining a successful practice with a strong reputation for handling complex commercial disputes, fraud-related matters and insolvency proceedings.

You will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the insolvency practice, managing your own caseload while assisting partners on complex and challenging matters. The position will also provide opportunities to develop client relationships, contribute to business development and support more junior members of the team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing your own caseload of contentious insolvency matters from inception through to resolution.
  • Handling insolvency litigation in the High Court and County Court, as well as mediation and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Drafting legal documents, pleadings and correspondence.
  • Supporting partners on complex matters while developing your own client base.
  • Managing client relationships, expectations and deadlines.
  • Delegating work to trainees and paralegals, where appropriate, and supporting their development.
  • Contributing to marketing, business development and the wider growth of the practice.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the department on matters involving insolvency issues.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 4pqe in insolvency law, with a strong focus on contentious insolvency.
  • Essential experience of High Court proceedings.
  • A strong academic background, with a 2:1 degree or above preferred.
  • A commercial, proactive and client-focused approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce consistently high-quality work.
  • The confidence to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • An interest in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to business development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Insolvency Solicitor looking to develop their expertise, take greater ownership of matters and play an active role in the continued success of a growing practice.
