An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Business Application Specialist to join our team! The role will be remote with travel 2-3 times a month to the head office in Chesterfield. You will be responsible for gathering and understanding the requirements of our stakeholders within our supply chain and re-manufacturing business and translating these requirements into IT solutions for the European components business.
Working closely with various teams within our business, this role will involve the proposal, coordination, implementation and maintenance of supply chain and re-manufacturing business solutions and applications, ensuring that they meet our IT business needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in processes within a supply chain and re-manufacturing business or consultancy and enjoys translating, configuring and implementing these business needs into an ERP system.
Key Responsibilities- Understanding and analyzing business requirements relating to supply chain and re-manufacturing process changes and initiatives within our enterprise application function.
- Translating business needs into functional specifications and collaborating with development and integration teams to deliver appropriate IT solutions.
- Mapping and evaluating current business processes and IT systems, identifying areas for optimization, automation and standardization.
- Supporting the design, configuration, and maintenance of applications to supplement production, warehouse, purchasing and intercompany flows.
- Participating in system testing, validation and user acceptance phases to ensure solution quality and business alignment.
- Acting as key point of contact for supply chain and remanufacturing application topics, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Educated to degree level in engineering or information systems, or has equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in IT business analysis or application support within manufacturing, remanufacturing or distribution environments.
- Experience working within international or multi-site organizations is desirable.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and remanufacturing processes such as production planning, warehouse management, intercompany logistics, and bill of material/routing management.
- Proven experience in business process analysis and in working with external vendors and internal teams to implement process changes.
- Good knowledge of system integrations, data flows and reporting tools.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, preferably Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects with stakeholders located across different teams and countries.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
