Senior Fleet Engineer

The Senior Technical Vehicle Maintenance Engineer is responsible for providing expert technical leadership across the fleet maintenance function, ensuring the safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective operation of commercial vehicles and associated assets. The role will act as the subject matter expert for vehicle engineering, maintenance standards, defect management, diagnostics, emerging vehicle technologies including electric. The postholder will work closely with branches, external maintenance providers, OEMs, suppliers, compliance teams, and operational stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and maximise fleet availability. Provide expert support on complex vehicle faults, repeat defects, and engineering investigations. Lead technical reviews and root cause analysis of vehicle failures.
