At LKQ Europe, we offer a 12-months internship within our Corporate Communications team. We welcome students from all backgrounds as we know diverse minds bring new ideas and a different way of thinking to the business. The role will be hybrid, with presence in the office required, full-time, 35 hours/week and based in Europe.

Over the course of your 12-month placement, we’ll give you a taste of what it’s like to work with us, while you gain valuable experience to help guide your career choices.

As an Intern, you’ll be assigned to a range of different projects, where you’ll learn a mix of practical knowledge and technical skills.

About the internship:

  • Learn about our culture, values and goals and build an understanding of what we offer to the automotive industry
  • Support in delivery of internal and external communications activity and plans, through the full range of communications channels and tools including colleague engagement activities and internal events
  • Working with key stakeholders to develop engaging and compelling news, features and content for our internet, the intranet and other media platforms e.g., social media
  • Develop your team working, planning, creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Coordinate logistics for internal events such as town halls, team meetings, and leadership updates.

About you:

  • To join our 12-month Corporate Communication internship, we’re looking for the right candidate who enjoys thinking strategically. You’ll be inquisitive and are not afraid to bring new ideas to the table.
  • You must be available for the full 12 months of the internship, and this internship would suit students looking for a one-year industry placement as part of their degree.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills including the ability to understand complex information and present it in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of the Microsoft Office suite and strong general aptitude with digital and social media
