We have a new varied working role just become available.
Based on a high yielding, high performing 500 Jersey cow dairy herd in Sutton near Dover. We are looking for an enthusiastic stockperson with experience of calf rearing to take overall responsibility for the unit\’s calf rearing operation; rearing all newborn to sale/rearing as stores and including around 200 heifer replacements a year from newborn to weaning that are key to the business.
This will suit someone with a high level of attention to detail who is not afraid to pick up a broom when necessary.
Brilliant facilities on the farm overall within an igloo style housing system.
There will be additional varied young stock and dairy cow work on the unit for which training will be given which includes some holiday cover relief milking in the dairy team. The farm can offer excellent conditions, good time off, support and a newly installed mobile home on site.
