We have a new vacancy for a herdsperson on a family farm south of Shrewsbury. The 230 pedigree herd averages 10,200 litres on 2x/day milking through a modern 25/50 parlour and housed all year. With recent investment in buildings and new machinery, it is an excellent, well-managed unit.
The varied role would include:
- Milking and other general stockwork
- Tractor driving at busy times
Attention to detail and previous experience is vitally important, along with a love of dairy cattle. The ability to AI and foot trimming would be an advantage but not essential.
In return, we can offer a competitive salary and regular time off; however, currently, there is no accommodation available.
