We have a new contract vacancy for an experienced assistant herdsperson for 350 organic autumn block calving Friesians as one of 4 dairies on a family owned and managed 2,500-acre estate in North Dorset. The appointed person will be a full-time assistant to work alongside a highly capable and experienced herd manager and be involved in all the outside tasks such as bedding, scraping and feeding, with occasional milkings.
A competitive package to go along with a log cabin on farm is on offer, to complement a work-life balance of 9 hour days and regular time off to suit any candidate.
