We require an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic herdsperson to work alongside the farmer on this 240-cow dairy near St Austell in Cornwall.
The successful applicant will assume milking duties for the herd as well as herd health, AI, calving and record keeping. You will also treat lame cows between visits of the hoof trimmer and be involved in grassland management and general stock work. The herd Calves year-round and is milked through a 16:32 Westphalia herringbone parlour with auto ID, wash and ADF.
The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate recent experience in a similar role as well as being able to operate in a clean and organised fashion. In return an excellent package is on offer to include regular time off, a very nice 4 bedroomed farmhouse on the unit and a salary commensurate with the position.
