The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
We have a new vacancy for an experienced herdsperson on a family farm between Bicester and Banbury in Oxfordshire.
The closed herd has 230 pedigree Jersey’s calving AYR and producing an average of 7,000 litres. The cattle are housed all year round on cubicles with mattresses and fed a TMR diet with the milk sold on a premium contract. There has been significate investment over the last 8 years including new buildings with the last one finished in 2024 and a 24/24 parlour completed in 2022 including ADF, backing gate and auto shedding.
The main roles would be milking and the calves/youngstock husbandry but with other general farm work when required. Ideally, we are wanting someone with a good level of experience however would be willing to train someone with less knowledge but keen.
In return for your efforts, we can offer a competitive salary with regular time off, a nice 3 bed semi-detached house in the village free from rent and rates.
