We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic herdsperson to join a team on a family dairy farming business. The herd running with 550-cows, milked 3 times a day and calving all year.
With milk sales above 12,000 litres per cow, they are housed within truly first-class facilities providing excellent surroundings to apply husbandry and stockmanship as a member of a very skilled and focused team.
The farm seeks, and will reward enthusiasm, livestock skills and commitment, with a diverse role.
You will play an active part in the performance of the herd and youngstock.
- The farm has invested with an emphasis on operating as a team and comprises of:
- Fully automated, 2 man 36:36 Westfalia parlour with auto ID/ auto drafting and ADF.
- Excellent handling facilities and dairy buildings.
- Well-staffed with a first class, dedicated team on the farm.
- Modern cow housing for main milking group.
We offer, with this position, first class accommodation on farm, free from rent, rates and council tax, an excellent remuneration package and regular time off.
