LKAB Minerals is looking to recruit a suitable candidate to fill the post of Production Operative at our site in Flixborough or Bagmoor Lane Sites. Working daily with the other operators and their reports under the direction of the Assistant Works Manager to accomplish plant objectives in the areas of Safety, Environmental, Recovery, Quality, Reliability, Production, Efficiency, Cost Reduction and Innovation. Efficient planning and proactive strategy development for optimisation of plant, equipment and reports. Shift working pattern: ~Adherence to local and government legislation and LKAB company policy on health and safety Ensure all tasks are sufficiently risk assessed and safe systems of work developed and followed with suitable control measures implemented Operate the plant to deliver optimum productivity, efficiency, quality and performance to required standards without taking unnecessary risks to achieve this. Maintain housekeeping standards and routine inspections are carried out across the area of responsibility supporting and implementing Lean activities such as 5S. Play active role in OEE to improve efficiency within the business unit and the wider company. Closely monitors quality of raw materials and finished products and all testing Involvement within the Operational Efficiency programme Reports all damage and monitors waste tipped and reports data to Works Supervisor Good concentration and attention to detail to quickly notice deviations in production with solid troubleshooting skills to successfully determine the causes of production issues Working knowledge of relevant machinery and equipment, including interpretation of production reports and identification of problems Keeps up to date and works within all relevant safety and quality standards and procedures Fork Lift Truck Licence Loading shovel licence Driving Licence - due to mobile plant movement required on public roadways Company pension increasing in employer contributions after 5 years service ~ Life insurance (Death in Service) ~ Employee Assistance Programme for employee, partner and family ~ Salary Extras - Store discount scheme ~Cycle to Work Scheme Permanent Scope: Full-time We have deposits, processing facilities, offices in 12 countries and offer over 30 different minerals into hundreds of applications.
