The Opportunity

My client is a well-established London law firm seeking an experienced and proactive Property Secretary / Administrator to join their busy and collaborative property department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys providing high-level support to senior legal professionals.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting one of the firm’s dedicated property teams, handling a wide range of secretarial and administrative responsibilities across both commercial and residential property transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Partners and fee earners with all aspects of property transactions
  • Drafting correspondence, legal documents, and invoices
  • Managing the coordination of key transaction stages including exchanges and completions
  • Handling payments and assisting with post-completion work (Land Registry and Companies House)
  • Liaising with clients and third parties, ensuring high standards of client care at all times
  • Managing calendars, appointments, and general administrative duties

About You

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a property team (ideally covering both residential and commercial matters)
  • Previous experience working closely with Partners and senior lawyers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and confident in taking initiative
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency in legal software systems
  • A strong team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
