Personal Injury Paralegal – Military Claims

Salary: £28,000 – £38,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

About the Role

A well-regarded law firm in Castleford is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join its expanding team, with a particular focus on military injury claims. This is a unique opportunity to build a niche specialism while supporting members of the Armed Forces and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of military-related injury claims, including training injuries, hearing loss, PTSD, and service accidents

• Draft legal documents such as statements, instructions to counsel, and court forms

• Liaise with clients, military personnel, medical experts, and third parties

• Work on claims both under standard litigation and the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS)

• Support senior solicitors with complex and high-value matters

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in personal injury law

• Experience with military or complex personal injury claims is advantageous

• Strong understanding of PI litigation processes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Highly organised, with the ability to manage a varied caseload

• Experience with Proclaim or similar case management systems is a plus

Requirements for Application

• Must have the right to work in the UK

• Must be able to commute to Castleford

• Must have 2 Year’s Personal Injury Paralegal / Fee-Earner experience
