A highly regarded Legal 500 firm now has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Corporate Lawyer to join its Oxford Corporate team. Candidates with 4+ years’ PQE are invited to apply.
What You will work across the full spectrum of corporate matters, including:
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Shareholders’ agreements
- Private equity transactions
The Corporate team works seamlessly across multiple offices, so strong teamwork is essential. From an early stage, you will be supported in developing your own network and client relationships, with clear opportunities for career progression.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering consistently high-quality advice and exemplary client care.
- Demonstrating strong financial management, including accurate time recording, billing, and meeting performance targets.
- Proactively identifying and driving business development opportunities.
- Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and competence in accordance with SRA standards.
- Taking accountability for your own personal development and enhancing your interpersonal and soft skills.
- Managing a varied and sophisticated caseload with professionalism and minimal supervision.
- Carrying out additional reasonable tasks as required.
What They’re Looking For
- 4+ years PQE with extensive and directly relevant corporate experience.
- Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of clients’ industries and business needs.
- Proven ability to run and manage your own caseload independently.
- Demonstrable track record in financial management, client service, and effective case handling.
- Excellent IT skills, including use of case management systems and Microsoft Office.
- A self-starting, friendly, and collaborative individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Someone who consistently embodies and reflects the firm’s values.
