Overview
I am currently working with a highly regarded firm who are seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor to join a busy team specialising in advising vulnerable individuals. This role is remote based, with an initial induction week in the Norwich office and regular travel to meet clients across the Eastern Region and East & West Midlands. This is a challenging yet rewarding role, offering the opportunity to work closely with clients, families, carers, and external organisations to deliver tailored legal support. The role would suit a Solicitor with at least two years PQE or equivalent experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to vulnerable clients, including Court of Protection and Attorneyship matters.
- Manage a varied caseload, including matters relating to mental capacity, safeguarding, and Court of Protection proceedings.
- Travel to meet clients in their home, care home, hospital, or hospice.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, including apprentices and trainee solicitors.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient, high-quality service and compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and manage caseload priorities to meet deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 2 years PQE or equivalent experience in private client or Court of Protection work.
- Experience managing your own caseload independently.
- Ability to supervise, guide, and mentor junior colleagues.
- Strong background in Court of Protection matters.
- Polite, professional telephone manner and excellent client care skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Team player who can work effectively within a busy, growing department.
