This is a rare opportunity for an experienced legal finance professional (potentially at management level or looking to take the next step into management) to join a long-established, highly respected law firm as Finance Director. You will become a key member of the senior leadership team, helping to drive the firm's financial strategy, continued growth, and future success.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Partners, you'll lead the firm's finance function, ensuring robust financial management while providing commercially focused insight to support strategic decision-making. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering the firm's financial strategy, budgets and forecasts.
- Producing monthly management accounts, financial reports and KPI analysis.
- Managing cash flow, profitability, financial planning and working capital.
- Overseeing the firm's annual budgeting and audit processes.
- Monitoring financial performance across departments and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Supporting the Partners with business planning, investment decisions and commercial analysis.
- Overseeing payroll, VAT, tax compliance and statutory reporting.
- Driving continuous improvement across financial systems, reporting and operational processes.
What We're Looking For
- Solid finance experience gained within a law firm (essential).
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) preferred, although candidates without formal qualifications will be considered where they can demonstrate substantial legal finance experience.
- Strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules and legal finance management.
- Experience partnering with senior leadership and influencing decision-making.
