We are currently working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded regional law firm to recruit an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join their Whitefield office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and technically strong lawyer looking to take the next step in their career in a supportive, forward-thinking legal practice.

The successful candidate will manage a broad and varied caseload of commercial property matters, acting on behalf of a diverse client base including business owners, property investors, pension funds, and management companies. The role involves high levels of client interaction, and you’ll be expected to deliver commercially astute legal advice with efficiency and a strong focus on client service.

You’ll work alongside a team of experienced lawyers and enjoy a collaborative and friendly working culture, where professional development is encouraged and supported.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Handling the sale and purchase of commercial properties
  • Advising on the sale of business assets and property sold via auction
  • Managing secured lending, mortgages, and re-mortgages
  • Drafting and negotiating a wide range of Landlord and Tenant documentation:
  • Commercial leases, lease renewals
  • Licences to assign, sublet, and alter
  • Surrenders and renewals
  • Advising on pension scheme transactions, including in specie contributions
  • Handling Land Registry applications, including first registrations and adverse possession claims
  • Serving and responding to Section 25 notices
  • Acting on behalf of management companies in connection with multi-occupancy or leasehold arrangements
  • Requirements:

    • A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (typically 2+ PQE, although all levels will be considered)
    • Strong background in commercial property law with the ability to run matters independently
    • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client care skills
    • Able to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively in a busy team environment
    • A practical, proactive, and commercially aware approach
