Our client, a highly regarded Top 50 UK law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Associate to join its award-winning Private Client team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's leading Private Wealth practices, advising a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners, landed estates, trustees and family offices on complex wealth preservation and succession planning matters.

Due to continued growth and increasing demand for specialist private wealth advice, the team is now looking to appoint an ambitious Senior Associate who is seeking a long-term career opportunity with a clear route for progression.
The Team
The Private Client team is recognised nationally for its expertise and advises some of the region's most prominent individuals and families. Working alongside specialists in Tax, Corporate, Real Estate and Family Law, the team delivers comprehensive advice across all aspects of wealth management and succession planning. The department combines exceptional technical work with a genuinely supportive and collaborative culture, making it an attractive environment for ambitious lawyers looking to further develop their careers.
The Role
As a Senior Private Client Associate, you will take a leading role in advising clients on a broad range of complex private wealth matters while helping to develop and grow the firm's private client offering. Key responsibilities will include:
- Advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals on estate and succession planning
- Drafting complex Wills and lifetime trusts
- Advising trustees on trust administration and governance matters
- Providing inheritance tax, capital gains tax and wealth preservation advice
- Managing the administration of high-value and complex estates
- Advising on lasting powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters
- Supporting business owners and entrepreneurs with succession and asset protection planning
- Developing and maintaining long-standing client relationships
- Supervising junior lawyers and supporting their professional development
- Contributing to business development initiatives and helping to grow the practice

Candidate Requirements
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with:
- 5+ years' PQE within a recognised Private Client practice
- Strong technical expertise across wills, trusts, probate and tax planning
- Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Strong drafting and analytical abilities
- Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
- Experience supervising junior lawyers would be advantageous
- STEP qualification or working towards STEP would be highly desirable
- Candidates from regional, national, boutique private client or City firms are encouraged to apply.
