We’re working with an established and forward-thinking law firm in Ipswich that is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor to join its thriving conveyancing team. The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role within the residential property department, supporting the Head of Department and managing your own varied caseload of good-quality residential matters. The role offers autonomy, strong support, and the chance to be part of a firm that prides itself on exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting for buyers and sellers on freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Drafting, reviewing, and amending contracts, deeds, reports, and client correspondence
- Conducting title reviews, raising and responding to enquiries, and managing searches
- Handling exchange, completion, and post-completion matters, including Land Registry formalities
- Advising on remortgages, mortgage redemptions, transfers of equity, and secured lending
- Assisting with residential licences and new-build transactions
- Contributing to business development, marketing initiatives, and client relationship growth
The Ideal Candidate
- UK-qualified Solicitor, registered with the SRA
- Proven experience managing a residential property caseload confidently and independently
- Strong technical ability with excellent attention to detail
- A commercial, client-focused approach
- Clear communicator, able to explain complex legal issues in plain English
- Comfortable using IT systems, particularly Word and Excel
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Able to work full-time from the firm’s Ipswich office
