Do you live and breathe SAP Plant Maintenance? The kind of person who can walk into a workshop that’s gone a bit chaotic and leave with clear requirements, a clean blueprint, and a confident route to go-live?
I’m recruiting for a Principal SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant to take ownership of end-to-end delivery, lead key stakeholders, and guide teams (including offshore) to successful implementations. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can combine deep SAP PM knowledge with strong integration awareness and really solid client-facing confidence.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading assessment and blueprint workshops, shaping the solution, and driving delivery from blueprint through to go-live and stabilisation.
- Playing a key role as the functional integration lead, working closely across modules like MM, QM, CO and PS.
- Producing clear documentation when needed, including functional specs, mapping, gap analysis and process design.
- Supporting testing and cutover end-to-end (SIT/UAT planning, scripts, execution, go-live readiness).
- Mentoring junior consultants and supporting an offshore team (around 3–4 people).
- Involvement in pre-sales activity (SME input, solution direction, championing what good looks like) depending on the project pipeline.
What I’m looking for:
- 12+ years SAP consulting experience.
- Strong SAP Plant Maintenance background (ideally 5+ years).
- Proven end-to-end implementation delivery (greenfield and/or brownfield).
- Strong experience across support environments.
- Confidence working in Agile style delivery.
- Solid ability to translate business requirements into standard SAP solutions and functional specs for build/enhancements.
- Excellent English and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to juggle multiple workstreams without drama.
Nice extras (not essential, but lovely if you have them):
- Oil & Gas and/or Automotive experience.
- Winshuttle, Prometheus or RPA exposure.
- SAP PS knowledge.
You’ll do well here if you’re calm, commercially switched on, and naturally take ownership. It’s one of those roles where you’re trusted to run with it, and you’ll genuinely be treated like the SME.
If you’re even slightly curious, ping me your CV or LinkedIn and I’ll send over a few more details and talk you through the role properly (tea optional, but encouraged ☕).
