A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Manager to join the Partnership Tax team, reporting to the Head of Partnership Tax. This role sits within the wider Finance function and is based in London.

Role Overview

The Tax Manager will take responsibility for managing and delivering the full tax compliance cycle for the LLP, its Members, and associated Corporate entities. This is a key role ensuring that all tax obligations are met accurately and on time, while also identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation and submission of UK LLP and UK Corporation Tax computations.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of individual Member tax returns.
  • Ensure all tax filings and payments are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Manage correspondence with HMRC and respond to related queries.
  • Produce and deliver Member annual tax statements, including tax reserving and reconciliation.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to Member tax queries.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of the PAYE Settlement Agreement.
  • Monitor tax legislation and assess the impact of changes on the firm and its Members.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes and controls, including through the use of technology.
  • Support the Head of Partnership Tax with technical analysis and project-based work.

Skills and Experience

  • Professionally qualified (e.g. CTA, ACA, ATT, or equivalent).
  • Strong UK tax compliance experience.
  • Previous experience in a professional services environment is essential; experience within the legal sector is advantageous.
  • Proficient in the use of tax software and highly skilled in Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a full annual tax cycle.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Confident communicator, able to explain tax matters clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive team player with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
