Our client, a long-established and highly respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its growing Dispute Resolution and Personal Injury team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented solicitor with a passion for achieving justice for clients who have suffered as a result of medical negligence. The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative environment, handling high-quality claimant clinical negligence matters while benefiting from genuine opportunities for career progression.

The Role

  • Managing a caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception through to conclusion
  • Investigating claims and assessing liability, causation and quantum
  • Obtaining and reviewing medical records and expert evidence
  • Drafting correspondence, witness statements, schedules of loss and court documents
  • Negotiating settlements and representing clients throughout the claims process
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, medical experts, barristers and other professionals
  • Supporting business development initiatives and helping to raise the profile of the department

About You

We are seeking a qualified Solicitor with approximately 5 years' PQE and demonstrable experience handling claimant clinical negligence matters. The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong technical knowledge of clinical negligence law and procedure
  • Experience managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills
  • Outstanding client care and communication abilities
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with vulnerable clients
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
