LJJ LTD is an MEP contractor that has demonstrated success in the construction industry for over 25 years. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Junior Buyer to join our busy Purchasing Department at our head office in Stockton-on-Tees.

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement of materials and equipment. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing the necessary materials and equipment needed for our MEP projects daily. This includes managing our supply chain, sourcing and researching suppliers for bespoke items, obtaining quotes, and ensuring that the correct materials are ordered on time and within budget.
  • Managing relationships with our supply chain partners is essential. You will be tasked with maintaining regular communication, resolving any issues with delivery and quality, and ensuring that suppliers meet contractual obligations and deadlines.
  • Processing purchase orders, ensuring all the necessary paperwork is completed accurately, and maintaining records of purchases on Construction Live software (training will be given).
  • You will be reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager.
