An internationally renowned contractor is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical works on a major hyperscale data centre project in Newport. Reporting to the MEP Project Director, you will take full responsibility for managing and overseeing the electrical installation package delivered by a leading specialist electrical contractor. This is a critical leadership role replacing an existing team member, offering the chance to shape delivery on one of flagship data centre schemes.

This role is ideally suited to someone currently working for contractors such as Mercury, Winthrop, or similar, who may be seeking to step away from rotational working patterns and enjoy weekly travel home instead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the electrical delivery on a major hyperscale data centre project, managing all interfaces between client, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Oversee progress, quality, and safety performance of the electrical subcontractor
  • Review, challenge, and drive programme performance and schedule adherence
  • Coordinate technical and commercial aspects of the electrical package
  • Attend and lead project meetings, providing clear reporting to the MEP Project Director
  • Resolve technical and logistical challenges quickly and efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards
  • Maintain meticulous records and contribute to project close-out and handover processes
