Our client, a leading engineering & construction contractor with a reputation for delivering world-class projects across a diverse range of industries dedicated to ensuring quality, safety, and sustainability is now urgently looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer. As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead and manage the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical systems which requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, hands-on experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, specifications, IFC drawings, budgets, and quality standards.
- Work closely with engineering managers, clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within overall project designs.
- Preparation and coordination of drawings covering all electrical installations ensuring alignment to project specifications & standards.
- Implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical systems.
- Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, technical reports/submittals, and project updates.
- Monitor project budgets and costs, identifying and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality or performance.
- Ensure all electrical engineering activities and equipment validation comply with relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards.
- Participate in meetings as needed and contribute to the best of your knowledge.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation ensuring that it is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree/qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering role within construction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Strong technical knowledge and application of European/UK electrical codes and standards.
- Proficient in Electrical Engineering software & tools such as MS Word & Excel.
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
