Our client is a large and well-established MEP Sub-Contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major Mechanical & Electrical Packages on behalf of Tier:1 main contractors involved in ‘technology’ schemes including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor plants and heavy industrial projects. Due to continued growth in the region of their Commercial division, our client is now seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their team based on a mixed-use commercial build in Central London.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical Systems Installation & Coordination – Oversees the installation of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems, ensuring integration with structural and electrical components.
- Quality Control & Compliance – Ensures all mechanical works meet project specifications, industry standards, and local building codes while conducting inspections and testing.
- Site Supervision & Safety Management – Monitors mechanical work on-site, enforces safety regulations, and ensures compliance with health and safety standards.
- Resource & Budget Management – Manages mechanical subcontractors, labor, materials, and project costs to maintain efficiency and budget control.
- Testing, Commissioning & Handover – Oversees system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning to ensure all mechanical systems function correctly before project completion and client handover.
Requirements
- Must have relevant Electrical Degree or equivalent trades background
- Must have 5+ years’ experience in a similar position
