Modelling Manager – Utilities – 1.5 Year contract We are partnering with a ‘cradle to grave’ project delivery partner specialising in planning, commercial and project management. Due to continued growth in their utilities department, they are seeking a Modelling Manager to aid with their development in Northumbria. Responsibilities * Hydraulic Model Development and Calibration: The manager oversees the creation and calibration of hydraulic models that simulate the flow and behaviour of wastewater within the system. This includes selecting appropriate software, collecting relevant data, and ensuring that the model accurately represents the system's physical and operational characteristics. * Project Planning and Coordination: They manage the planning and scheduling of hydraulic modelling activities, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget. This includes coordinating with engineers, planners, and other stakeholders to align model development with the overall project goals and timeline. * Analysis of System Performance: The manager leads the analysis of hydraulic models to assess the capacity, performance, and efficiency of the wastewater system. They identify potential issues such as bottlenecks, areas of insufficient capacity, or flooding risks, and provide recommendations for system improvements or upgrades. * Technical Oversight and Quality Assurance: The Hydraulic Modelling Manager is responsible for ensuring that the modelling process adheres to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements. They review and validate model results, ensuring that the calculations and assumptions used in the models are accurate and reliable. * Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: The manager is responsible for preparing reports and presentations to communicate model results, analysis, and recommendations to stakeholders such as clients, regulatory authorities, and project teams. They ensure that complex hydraulic modelling data is presented clearly to non-technical audiences and that any proposed changes to the system are well-supported by the modelling results. Requirements Must have experience working on Storm Water Management and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS). Must have 3+ years’ experience working in a similar role. Must have UK Passport or RTW. Benefits £275 – £300 per day + benefits
