Our client, a leading and expanding M&E subcontractor, is delivering mission-critical infrastructure across the UK and Europe, with a strong reputation for excellence in commercial, pharmaceutical, and data centre sectors. As part of a flagship data centre project in London, we are now seeking a highly experienced Electrical QA/QC Lead to join our site delivery team. This is a permanent position offering a dynamic environment and genuine long-term career prospects within a company driven by quality and innovation.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical QA/QC function across the data centre project, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and statutory regulations.
- Review and approve electrical design documentation, method statements, materials, and installation practices.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project-specific QA/QC plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality flowcharts.
- Conduct in-depth inspections and audits of ongoing electrical works including containment, LV systems, UPS, generators, and life safety systems.
- Collaborate closely with subcontractors and internal teams, managing quality KPIs and NCRs, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Support commissioning activities and ensure systems are tested and verified per contractual requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of QA documentation, certification, and compliance across all project stages.
- Deliver QA training and lead regular quality meetings with project stakeholders and trade partners.
Candidate Profile:
- Background in electrical engineering or construction quality management with a minimum of 5 years in a QA/QC leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering QA/QC on complex data centre projects across Europe or the UK.
- Strong knowledge of electrical standards, quality frameworks, and commissioning protocols in a mission-critical environment.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, able to lead by example and drive a culture of quality across teams.
- Comfortable working under pressure, solving problems proactively, and ensuring work is right first time.
