Electrical Design Engineer – Data Centres – Dublin & Glasgow Our client is a €2bn turnover, Tier:1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre projects division, our client is now seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer. Responsibilities * Design Electrical Systems: Lead the design of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, UPS, and backup power systems for the data centre. * Ensure Safety and Compliance: Ensure all electrical designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and local codes, guaranteeing the reliability of systems. * Collaborate with Multi-Disciplinary Teams: Work closely with mechanical, structural, and project management teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into the overall data centre design. * Conduct Load Calculations and System Analysis: Perform load calculations and power analysis to ensure efficient energy use and optimal performance of electrical infrastructure. * Support Installation and Commissioning: Provide technical oversight during installation, commissioning, and testing, ensuring electrical systems meet performance requirements and project timelines. Requirements Must have a third level qualification in Electrical or Design Engineering Experience with BIM360 on large scale projects/ data centre projects Excellent computer skills.
