Job Description
Mechanical Technical Services Manager (TSM) Contract£350 £450 per day
Location: Central London
Contract Type: Contract / Freelance
A specialist contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technical Services Manager (TSM) to support delivery on a high-profile conservation and refurbishment project in Central London.
This role will involve overseeing mechanical services coordination within a complex historic building environment, ensuring installation works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required heritage and technical standards.
Candidates must have strong commercial construction experience, particularly within fit-out, refurbishment, and conservation works on historic or listed buildings.
Key Responsibilities
Manage mechanical services coordination across the project
Review mechanical design information and technical documentation
Coordinate subcontractors and installation teams
Ensure compliance with project quality and safety requirements
Work closely with site teams and project managers
Manage RFIs, technical queries, and installation sequencing
Support commissioning and handover of mechanical systems
Ensure works respect heritage and conservation constraints
Requirements
Proven experience as Mechanical TSM / Technical Services Manager
Experience working on commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects
Experience on conservation or historic building projects preferred
Strong understanding of mechanical building services installation
Ability to coordinate subcontractors and site teams
