Senior Electrical Project Manager Location: Blyth, Northumberland Sector: Hyperscale Data Centres / Mission Critical Project: Major 10-Year Phased Data Centre Development Our client is a leading international data centre delivery contractor, delivering major hyperscale and mission critical projects across Europe. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to join the team delivering a major hyperscale data centre development in Blyth, Northumberland. The project is a 10-year, multi-phase development and one of the largest data centre schemes in the UK , providing an excellent long-term opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take a senior leadership role within a major programme. Responsibilities: Take senior responsibility for the delivery of electrical packages across the project. Lead and manage electrical project teams, engineers, subcontractors and specialist suppliers. Manage project programmes, budgets, resources and key delivery milestones. Coordinate electrical works with CSA, mechanical, commissioning and other project disciplines. Manage electrical subcontractor performance, progress, productivity and commercial delivery. Review electrical designs, specifications, technical submissions and installation methodologies. Identify and resolve design, technical, programme and construction issues. Manage procurement, materials and specialist electrical packages. Monitor project progress, costs, risks, change and performance against agreed targets. Lead client, consultant, subcontractor and internal project meetings. Ensure electrical installations are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications and relevant standards. Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging and handover activities. Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance. Requirements: Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline. Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Project Manager / Electrical Project Manager within major construction or MEP projects. Strong experience delivering large-scale electrical installations, ideally within hyperscale data centres or other mission critical environments. Proven experience managing large electrical packages, subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams. Strong understanding of electrical construction, commissioning, programme and project delivery. Experience managing budgets, procurement, risk, change and commercial considerations. Excellent client-facing, communication and leadership skills. Strong technical and commercial awareness.
