Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Hounslow

Our client is an international Tier 1 main contractor with a reputation for delivering complex, high-value technology projects across sectors including pharmaceutical, semiconductor & battery plants and data centre / mission-critical infrastructure. They operate across the UK, Ireland and Europe with a group turnover in excess of £1bn

The need now exists for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join the delivery team on a major data centre construction project in West London

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will provide expert technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of the project, ensuring the electrical design is delivered to the highest standards in line with performance specifications, programme, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and coordination of electrical design packages from concept through to construction
• Interface with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure technical compliance and integration with all building systems
• Support the procurement of electrical systems and manage design approvals
• Provide technical input during installation, testing, and commissioning phases
• Review and manage design changes, value engineering, and risk mitigation processes

Key Requirements

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Significant experience in electrical design on large-scale construction projects
• Previous data centre or mission-critical project experience is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of power distribution, UPS systems, standby generation, and fire/life safety systems
• Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or leading consultancies on complex MEP packages
