We are currently working with a Main Contractor with proven success across the UK specialising in a variety of sectors including:

  • Commercial offices for both developers and tenants
  • Retail, leisure and hospitality facilities
  • Education schemes
  • Residential schemes for both developers and private owners

Due to extended growth, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Building Services Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Central London.

Responsibilities

  • MEP Cost Planning & Estimating: Provide detailed cost planning and estimating for building services works, supporting early-stage budgeting and ongoing financial control throughout the refurbishment.
  • Services Procurement & Package Management: Manage the end-to-end procurement process for MEP packages, including drafting scopes of work, tender analysis, contract negotiation, and post-contract administration.
  • Valuation & Payment Certification: Prepare and agree monthly valuations, assess subcontractor applications, and issue payment recommendations in line with contractual requirements and project progress.
  • Change Management & Technical Assessment: Evaluate variations and design changes specific to building services, ensuring accurate cost implications are captured and communicated to the project team and client.
  • Technical Coordination & Reporting: Work collaboratively with design consultants, engineers, and the main QS team to ensure accurate integration of MEP elements into the broader commercial strategy and reporting.

Requirements

  • Successful candidates must have proven 2 stage procurement/tender experience.
  • Main Contractor experience is desired.
  • Successful candidates will have relevant degree level qualification.
