We are currently partnering with a multidisciplinary construction and property consultancy with presence across the UK and proven success in a variety of sectors including Rail, Utilities, Energy, Roads, etc. Due to continued growth in their Nuclear arm, they are actively seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join their team in the South to aid the Commercial Team.
Responsibilities
- Senior Commercial Leadership: Provide senior-level quantity surveying and commercial leadership across complex nuclear defence projects, supporting the successful delivery of major programmes through effective cost management, governance, and commercial strategy.
- NEC & Alliance Contract Management: Lead the administration and management of NEC and alliance-based contracts, overseeing change control, compensation events, risk management, payment processes, and contractual compliance.
- Cost Planning & Financial Control: Manage project budgets, cost plans, forecasts, and reporting processes, providing accurate commercial insight and supporting effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key commercial advisor to clients, contractors, and project stakeholders, developing strong working relationships and providing expert guidance across procurement, delivery, and project controls.
- Commercial Strategy & Team Development: Support the development of commercial strategies, drive best practice across project delivery, and provide leadership and guidance to wider quantity surveying teams working on complex nuclear defence programmes.
Requirements
- Extensive experience within quantity surveying or commercial management, ideally gained on nuclear, defence, infrastructure, energy, or other highly regulated projects.
- Strong NEC contract experience, with knowledge of alliance contracting models highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to lead complex commercial activities, manage senior stakeholders, and provide strategic cost management advice.
- Must be willing and able to travel as and when required.
