Project Quantity Surveyor – Roads Oxfordshire

We are currently partnering with a multidisciplinary contractor with presence across the UK and proven success in a variety of sectors including Rail, Utilities, Energy, Roads, Energy etc. Due to continued growth in their Industrial arm, they are actively seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Oxfordshire to join the Commercial Team.

Responsibilities

Cost Planning & Budget Control:

Manage and monitor project budgets throughout the lifecycle of the highways scheme, ensuring cost certainty and financial efficiency across civil engineering, drainage, structures, and associated works.

Subcontract Procurement & Management:

Lead the procurement process for specialist subcontractors, ensuring timely appointment and robust contract administration, including managing valuations, variations, and final accounts.

Commercial Risk & Change Management:

Identify and assess commercial risks, managing compensation events and change control in line with NEC contract requirements to protect project margins and ensure contractual compliance.

Progress & Financial Reporting:

Produce accurate monthly CVRs, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports, providing the commercial lead and project team with clear insights into commercial performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Compliance:

Collaborate closely with delivery teams, local authorities, utility providers, and client representatives to ensure all commercial activities align with project objectives, statutory requirements, and safety standards.

Requirements

Mut have Quantity Surveying or similar degree level qualifications

Must have 8+ years experience in a similar role on Highway projects or similar large scale construction projects

Must have UK Passport or Right to work in the UK
