We are currently recruiting for an experienced BIM Lead to join a major data centre project in Blyth, Northumberland. The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for BIM delivery across the project, managing a team of BIM Coordinators and Technicians while working closely with the site team, subcontractors, engineers, package managers and client representatives. Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for BIM delivery across the project.
- Lead and manage a team of BIM Coordinators and BIM Technicians.
- Ensure BIM procedures and standards are consistently implemented across the project.
- Work closely with the site team, subcontractors and client to ensure BIM requirements are met.
- Liaise with package managers and site engineers to coordinate complex MEP installations.
- Manage and resolve clashes and coordination issues between disciplines.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical models.
- Produce and review drawings, specifications and schedules in accordance with the project BIM Execution Plan.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior BIM team members and the wider site team.
- Monitor BIM deliverables and ensure they are produced in line with project requirements.
- Support project coordination meetings and design reviews.
- Assist with the development and implementation of BIM processes and technologies.
- Contribute to BIM research, development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date BIM information is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- 8+ years' experience working across large-scale construction projects.
- Strong previous experience in a BIM Team Lead / BIM Manager / Senior BIM Coordinator position.
- Excellent Revit experience with an MEP bias.
- Strong understanding of MEP BIM coordination.
- Experience managing BIM teams.
- Strong Navisworks experience.
- AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Experience with clash detection and resolution.
- Experience working on major construction, infrastructure or data centre projects.
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, BIM or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of BIM processes, standards and project delivery.
- Excellent organisational, communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with subcontractors, engineers, designers and clients.
- Willingness to work on a rotational basis in Blyth.
