Our client is a Main Contractor with a proven track record of nationwide coverage of various projects. Specialising in MEP install, they are seeking an experienced MEP Lead to join their team in Devon.
Responsibilities
- Lead Coordination of Mechanical Building Services: Take ownership of the mechanical scope within the MEP package, ensuring seamless integration of HVAC, medical gases, drainage, and plumbing systems across critical hospital zones. Interface with electrical and public health leads to maintain design and installation synergy.
- Manage Installation Quality and Compliance: Oversee on-site mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with HTM (Health Technical Memoranda), HBNs, CIBSE standards, and NHS technical specifications. Enforce quality control processes and sign-off procedures across all mechanical disciplines.
- Drive Programme Delivery and Sequencing: Collaborate with planners and construction teams to sequence MEP activities around clinical requirements and building progress. Proactively manage risk items and coordinate delivery to avoid delays in critical path hospital areas.
- Stakeholder and Subcontractor Management: Act as the key point of contact for mechanical subcontractors, consultants, and hospital technical advisors. Lead coordination workshops, design reviews, and site meetings to drive solutions and ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Commissioning & Handover Readiness: Support commissioning teams in developing and executing commissioning plans for all mechanical systems, including pressure testing, balancing, and BMS integration. Ensure full documentation and compliance ahead of clinical sign-off and soft landings.
