Mechanical Engineer in North West London

Our client is a medium-sized main contractor with a strong reputation for excellence in new build, refurbishment, and fit-out projects, typically valued up to £25m and across the London & South East region. They deliver high-quality construction projects for blue-chip clients primarily in the financial services and commercial sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the in-house team, supporting the design, coordination, and delivery of building services across multiple projects. Youll play a key role in ensuring mechanical installations are delivered to the highest standard, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors on mechanical services design and installation

Review and coordinate MEP designs from concept through to construction

Provide technical support and value engineering input during pre-construction and construction phases

Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, specifications, and regulations

Assist in commissioning and handover processes

Requisite experience & Skills

Degree-qualified or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services

3+ years experience in the construction or building services sector, preferably with a contractor

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, public health, etc.)

Experience working on projects up to £25m, ideally in commercial build or fit-out sectors

In return our client can offer a competitive salary: (circa £40k £45k) depending on experience
