Projects are delivered across traditional and design-and-build contracts, with values ranging from £250k to £10m+. The Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team and play a key role in the financial management of refurbishment and retrofit projects. Working closely with project and leadership teams, the successful candidate will support the delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring commercial control and value are maintained throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the pre-construction process, including cost planning, tender analysis and contract negotiations
- Manage project budgets, cost reporting and forecasting
- Prepare and agree subcontractor packages and manage subcontractor accounts
- Monitor and manage variations, change control and risk
- Prepare valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
- Work closely with project and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Build and maintain strong client and supply chain relationships
Key Skills & Experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
- Minimum 5-6 years experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar role
- Experience working on refurbishment and retrofit projects preferred
- Strong understanding of traditional and design-and-build contracts
- Excellent written, numerical and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
